Lap Band surgery

I had my first appointment with Dr. Aranow on July 27th. Due to breast reconstruction for cancer (I had the Tram) and having colitis Dr. A said it was best for me to have the lap band. I would like to talk to others that have had this surgery. Also ones that are in the process of having it done. Also would like to know if anyone in the Dayville area that are in the process of having it done. So we could go to support meetings etc. My daughter had the gastric bypass surgery. She has lost 175 lbs so far. Phyllis

Phyllis: I can't help you out with band info but I wanted to say WELCOME!!! You will probibly be able to get a welth of info on the lap band board. Thank you for replying. I have seen Dr. A with my daughter during post-ob. She had a hernia taking out about 3 weeks ago. He is so good with her. When did you have your surgery etc? It is good to know that I have nice people like you that I will be able to talk to. Take Care; Phyllis

Hey Phyllis, Welcome and Congrats on your upcoming surgery. Both my hubby and I are patients of Dr. A! He is awesome. We both had RNY this past winter and are doing well. Bette, Hi! I read 3/4 of your profile. You do have a sense of humor. That is what I need for sure. I am going to be positive about this surgery. My one problem (lol) is going to give up the sweets. I have to loose at least 10 lbs by surgery. Take Care; Phyllis

Hi Phyllis, I had Lap Band surgery with Dr. Aranow on May 3, 2005, making it almost 3 months. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. A. and the lap band procedure.If you would like to email me privately, feel free. Also, since you are coming from Dayville, you might pass through Colchester on the way depending on the route you choose.
