I want to thank everyone for all your kind words and offers of support. I will be reaching out to all of you real soon. I have my second appointment with my surgeon August 23 and I am hoping to get a date. I only have two tests left to complete and the appointments are already scheduled for 8/10 and 8/16. So I will have everything done by the time I see the doc. I am hoping for a September date. The doctor said the process should move along fairly quickly since I had most of my testing done by other docs before I had even gotten to his office due to other medical problems. I started on vitamins and started changing my diet already. I am cutting out the soda and changed to crystal light. My biggest challenge was to quit smoking. Has anyone had this problem before surgery? Dr. Tishler said I was a good candidate for Lap RNY and he would only change to open if necessary. Has anyone been on oxycontin before surgery? If so, how was it handled? Thanking everyone again, Lisa
