Untimely Passing of CT member: Not WLS related

For those of you who have been around here for at least a year, you might remember Carolyn(Carrie) Carvalho from Putnum, CT. She and I both attended our first meetings last summer together at Middlesex. I read in this mornings Norwich Bulletin of her untimely passing at the young age of 40. Some of you may recall that she was a 6 yr. cancer survivor. If I am remembering correctly, she had gotten her surgery date last fall, and ended up having to cancel it.I believe her cancer had reappeared and she was going to have surgery or treatment. I was shocked to read this in the paper, and just wanted to inform anyone else who may have connected with Carrie. I know she was a single mom with a son who would now be 14. I will make a donation in her memory or contribute to a fund for her son, if one is set up. I need to recheck the newspaper. Sorry to be the bearer of such sad news. Marcia K.

Oh My God!!! I was shocked to read this after I got back from Fl. My prayers went out for her son and her family God bless Carrie and she was so sweet lady!!!! Kathy K
