Honesty Please!!

In short, I had an RNY done in 2005. Lost well but gained back 30 ish... pounds within the last year and a half. Having a really hard time getting it off although I did go back to the nutritionist about 8 months ago and I lost 14 pounds on my own. Since my time has been finished with her as of this past November I have gained 5 pounds. This is where i need your help and honest opinion.

    I have been approved to get the lapband put on top of my bypass. The insurance company approved it right away without me even have to appeal it once. Great right?? 
  
IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE WHO HAS HAD THIS DONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOUR WEIGHT LOSS IS.
  
    I'd hate to go through this surgery with no success noted. I am NOT INTERESTED in the DS no matter what the results may be but I would like to know the success or unsuccess of others who have had the band placed over the bypass.

My suggestion is to go to the "revision" section on this website.. there are many members from all over who switched from lap to RNY.. RNY to DS.. etc...I went there when I had to go through an overhaul recently & they were nice & shared experiences.

I did!!  I did!!  I had a lap band placed over my old gastric stapling from 1982 on 12/10 and just had my first fill on 1/15.  At that point I had lost 13 lbs and I go for my next fill on 2/5.  I'm still a newbie at this, but so far, I am happy with my choice.

I'm really looking forward to my 2nd fill and really hope I can get some restriction.

Check into it...several people on OH have had this done and have been successful.  Go over to the lap band forum and post the same question!
