Hi Gang,

Just giving an update on my status since my "re-surgery" a few weeks ago.

Still struggling with trying to go to phase 2 of eating.  Can't get scrambled eggs or anything "soft" down.  Liquids & reblended yogurt are about it.  (Thank GOD for greek yogurt.. it's yummy) even then the pain or burning at times is so intense it's just awful.

Been throwing up more than what should be taking place & having the same pains prior to surgery.  SOOO off for more Xrays/tests next week.

I'm truly hoping it's just my body needing to adjust to what's happened internally & that I'll be rockin' & a rollin' in no time.  I'm trying to remain positive.. however I went to the BABY FOOD section yesterday to try to find something in a phase 1-2 form to try to get down.. I NEVER thought I would have to do that.   I almost started bawling like a baby & overwhelmed with what's taken place with me as I grabbed little baby jars off the shelf.. I never thought I'd get to this point of eating....organic babyfood.

God Bless Dr. R.. he's really really really taking good care of me.  His staff is just awesome.. Judy actually gave me a few sample packets of protein shakes that came out for me to try while I was there today...to help spicen up my protein intake.. what a sweetie.

I've lost all the extra bloating water weight from the hospital that was a concern.. that was 11 pounds & today on the scale I've dropped another 8 since last week's visit HOLY SMOKERS BATMAN!

That's where I'm at currently.. I'll be returning to work in February for a few weeks part time to get back into the swing of things.. unless GOD FORBID something else comes through from next weeks tests.

UGH.. this'll pass,
Mickey

Hi Mickey!
I hope by now you are feeling a little better. You have had a rough time of it and helpfully you will be on the other side of all this soon. It is not until my health is in crisis that I remember how I took good health for granted. Thanks for the reminder and I hope you get some relief soon.
I always look forward to your posts!!

I am looking forward to seeing Dr. R on 2/12/09 !
Thanks,
Molly

Hi Hun!

I got your message but didn't haven't had a chance to call you back!  As you can see, I am back at work and doing ok.  Still really tired & still no farther along than mushy foods.  Not sure when I will be allowed to have actual food again.  Not much pain when eating and no bloating but am getting nauseous...sigh

Jess!!!!

I've been so worried about you girlie!  I'm in the same boat as you & going for tests this Friday C-scan & upper/lower GI series.  Dr. R has concerns.  Hopefully it's just my insides trying to re-adjust & swelling needs to be reduced.

I've lost 8 pounds (not including water weight) since surgery.

The pain is soo freakin' intense at times even with just fluids.  It's awful.

Nauseous & throwing up is still happening (more nauseous) the throwing up is concerning him.

Heather & I are getting together on Saturday for coffee/tea.. are you interested?

UMMM.. PS... how did you make out with what we discussed a few weeks' ago.. please email me privately or call me.   I DO HAVE GOOD NEWS. (hint hint)

Hugarroos,
Mickey

Know that I pray and think of you all the time and am hoping that one more thing will go down smoothly for you.  I love the Greek yogurts...do you belong to BJ's?  They sell an entire package of 12 cups for 11 bucks, I think...strawberry, blueberry and peach.

I hope that the tests come back as swelling still from so much pulling around during surgery...

Hang in there...and check your mail on here, I sent you one...and, email me to private addy that I gave to you!
