Questions? Concerns? Norwalk Early Post-Op Meeting
EARLY POST- OP MEETING/JULY 20TH AT 6 P.M.
NORWALK HOSPITAL/PERKINS AUDITORIUM.
This month we have two topics that we'll be discussing. First, we'll be evaluating how our old food behaviors have crept into the new relationships we are trying to craft with thejavascript:setMainIcon('confused',15,22)
javascript:setMainIcon('confused',15,22) eating. It is not uncommon for some of us to feel as obsessed with food after surgery as we were before surgery (the difference being that now some are obsessed with not eating it, but before they were obsessed with having as much of it around them as possible). And a number of us have also been worried that the little tricks we've used to help control our grazing behaviors (like chewing gum or drinking coffee) may not be able to indefinitely withstand the beckoning of our old food demons, despite their initial successes.
Our second topic will be hydration-- with Lisa Franchina and Sarit Silverman as our guest speakers.
In keeping with the topic of hydration, we will be having a little tasting party after the meeting of a wide variety of protein drinks. Some of your peers will be donating the extra cans, bottles and packets of protein drinks for which they have just lost their taste.
As always, all are welcome, whether or not Norwalk Hospital (or Dr. Crum) patients; there is no charge to attend this meeting.
