Hi Joan,

I had a TT & lower body lift just about 2 years ago.  Below is the plastic surgeon that I used.  She has her own "medical spa" in Enfield and works out of Johnson Memorial Hospital.

I shopped around due to having to pay out of pocket (insurance wouldn't cover)  She was pretty reasonable in her rates.

On a patient/client level.. she is FANTASTIC.. stayed with me the whole time in recovery, brought me up to my room.. which was private which was also Fantastic.. & was very thorough.. I couldn't have been more pleased...

Unfortunately, I've "undone" some of her work & really need an over-haul.. due to being sick & losing more weight.. I was suppose to go back in for a redo on my lower lift last April however got very sick so it was post poned..the "overhaul" was going to be about 3grand out of pocket.

My initial surgery she took off about 5 pounds of skin & did liposuction on my rear end.. (had a roll of fat that would not go away no matter what I did for exercise/weight training.

When ( & if) I can get my medical issues under control I plan on going back to Dr. Jambor for my redo.. she's just incredible.. & a sweetheart.

Hope this info helps,
Mickey

Joan,

I had my TT in 2006 and my BL in 2008.  My plastic surgeon is Dr. John Borkowski, in Middletown and he's the BEST (in my opinion) - has been doing p/s about 30 yrs.  Great (GREAT) bedside manners - great with follow ups, great human being...

Both surgeries were outpatient.  For the first one, I was home by 3pm; for the second one, I was home in time for lunch.  Of course, I had the best "at home care" (aka my hubby and my daughters) -- and he gave us his personal cell phone to call "anytime" -- who does that?

He's Board certified and a really great doctor.

Good luck!

Hi Ana,  You certainly seem to love this Dr.   I will be calling him to set up an appt for a consultation  tomorrow.... Sounds like the kind of doctor that i need.  ... He certainly did a great job with you... you look M A R V E L O  U S ... I am much older than you and just cannot see not having any hospital stay with this, but we will see what he has to say.  Thanks with your recommendation.  JoanS

Sure, you're welcome!

By the way, I went to 3 other PS, including another PS who works with Gastric Bypass patients at Hartford Hospital and by far, Dr. B won me over.

That other doctor (from Hartford Hospital) told me that I would do with a good expensive bra the same thing a breast lift would do for me.  I was like "What a J -e-r-k!!"

Dr. B works very closely with my WL surgeon, Dr. Aranow in Middletown, so he KNOWS what we're going through, the psychodrama we live and experience as we lose the weight... he's very well-informed about our "special" cases...  You really won't regret meeting him.

Good luck!

Thanks Ana,  Will keep in touch and let you know after I meet with him.... Do you mind if I tell him you recommended him?  Tell him Ana in Manchester gave me his name?.... I heard Dr. Aranow was wonderful, but that was after I had my lapband... Loved my Doctor, but after care leaves a lot to be desired...  Expected more follow-up and encouraging..  Thanks again.  JoanS

Kathy I have had Abdominoplasty and BL with Dr, Castiglione at HH. I have been very happy with him and my results. Insurance covered panni part and I payed 6000 for the rest of surgeon fees along with about 1900 to HH for or/anesthesia and recovery (23 hour stay).

Any other questions ask.

He's one of the one's I am thinking of. I saw Dr. Smith who is with him for my scar revision. I would go with him but he really doesn't have the post-op experience.

I don't know which Dr. she went to...but I've gotta say that when she said that about just getting an expensive bra- I LOL'ed.  (no offense)

Dr. Castiglione would say something like that- to an extent.  He told me I didn't really need PS and that he has seen much worse.  He tried to discourage me- to make sure that I was SURE this was what I wanted.  This is Elective cosmetic surgery we're talking about, after all.  Dangers, risks, and all that.

I think choosing the Dr that's right for you has a lot to do with your personality meshing nicely as well as their skill.

Best,

Lisa C
