Speaker at Aug. 1st Hamden Meeting

Hi, All! I'm posting this notice earlier than usual because we want to make sure that we have a good turnout to hear our speaker, but please don't get the dates confused. On Mon., Aug. 1st, the 1st Mon. of the month, the Middlesex support group meeting is only for pre-ops while the Hamden meeting, as always, is for both pre- and post-ops. Occasionally there are guest speakers at the Hamden meeting. One of them has been Terria Linn, a licensed clinical social worker, whose patients include some of the members of the support group. She herself is a "bandster" and has lost about 200 lbs., so she has insight into situations we face that other professional colleagues of hers may not. She will be speaking to the group again on Mon., Aug. 1st. Her topic will be "How to Integrate Food Back in Our Lives." The Hamden group meets at the Senior Center behind the Miller Library on Dixwell Ave., from 6:30 to 8 p.m. If anyone needs directions, please e-mail me. Debby

Hey Debbie, I will definately be there, I am on vacation that week and we are staying home this year and just doing day trips. I am so looking forward to finally coming to a meeting, its been so hard for me to get to them with so much going on at home and at work. Can't wait to see everyone. Hugs KimC
