Incision Concern
Hey all.
First I want to thank everyone for their kind words, advice and encouragemen- everyone is so helpful.
So... my question today is, after my shower this morning I noticed that my incision is "weeping". (an almost clear fluid)
I don't have a fever and I don't think it's an infection. Is this normal? I have put neosporin on it and bandaged it up. I see Dr. Aranow on Tuesday.
Did this happen to anyone else?
Thanks,
Robin

Hi Robin, I had that happening to me into my second month after surgery with a couple of wounds. I had RNY Lap. Dr Nazdam told me not to worry and just keep a clean gauze bandage on it. The surgical wounds are healing from the inside out so they take time. My wound used to "weep" during a my hot showers. They finally stopped by my 3 month post op. He suggested not to put neosporin on them because you want them to heal from the inside out, not outside in. Of course check with your doctor, just letting you know my experence. Take Care,
Julio
