I had RNY in 2001 and have recently been diagnosed with gastric pouch dilation and am seeking DS surgery as my revision option and would like some input on experiences and doctors used?

what is gastric pouch dilation?  is it stretching?  and how did you find you had it?  What doctor are you seeing now?

My pouch is four times the size it should be --- They found this as I had an UGI ---- I did alittle research and think the DS is a wise option for me for revision as I have multiple other problems like severe anemia and wicked dumping (I can eat 1 M&M and be running).... I have an appointment with Dr. Alphonse Pomp in NYC on February 2, 2009 ---- so fingers crossed he can HELP me......

I had a consult with Dr. Aziz Richi in Waterbury ?'ing band over pouch and this is an option as well however I truly think DS is better for me ---- He looked at my operative notes and said my surgeon made my pouch too big (used his fist as a guide normal is a walnut ---- I had RNY in 2001 so minimal surgeons were available and my doc was old school and conservative)

I see you are in CT (freezing today)
