Lisa C. and AA are Famous!

Hi, All! I was flipping through the pages of the August 2005 issue of "Ladies' Home Journal" (with Regis and Joy Philbin on the cover) and quickly went past a page with a picture of a doctor in surgical scrubs. As I turned the page, I thought, "He looks young, kind of like Dr. Aranow." For some reason, I turned back to that page and was surprised to see that it WAS Dr. A.! It's a full-page ad headed "A Comprehensive and Successful Bariatric Program: Jonathan Aranow, M.D. & Middlesex Hospital." At the bottom of the page was another photograph showing our own Lisa C. and AA, along with another woman whom I don't know, each holding their before photos. If you see the magazine in a store and just want to look at this page, it doesn't have a number, but it's between pages 150 and 153. Debby

I can't wait to find that magazine! It sounds like an addition to my scrap book. I work for a news that did an article recently about Kathy that had a picture of Dr Aranow in it. I hadn't seen Kathy since she's lost her weight and I did't know what day the articule would be in the paper so when I was flipping the pages and saw their picture I thought gee I wonder who that skinny woman is standing next to that man who looks so much like Dr Aranow! hahaha Even thought Kathy has told me that there are somethings not right with the articule I loved reading it and have added it all to my scrap book. She looks awsome!!!!!

Hi, Lisa! I have a subscription, so I found it in my mailbox. I guess it may not be in all stores yet, but should be soon. After all, it's already July 2nd, so it's time for August magazines. (Can you hear the sarcasm in my "voice" as I type?) Enjoy the rest of the weekend, Debby

Oh well that would explain to me why I can't find it in any of the stores that I went to yesterday looking for it. They only had the one with Madonna on the cover of it. I can't wait to read the article. I am going to copy it and send it to my mom at the Cape who is not all too supportive of the surgery and also my Dad who lives here in East hartford with me. The funny thing is that I have been Lisa C for the past 10 years and just became Lisa P last year so when I saw Lisa C is famous I was like Huh what did I do. Also how do you get a facial pic next to your name??

Hey Debbie, Thanks for the info, I am going out to get that magazine tomorrow. Thats great that Dr. A is getting the exposure and our own OH member too. Answer to Lisa's question, to get your picture on the site, you have to email a volunteer on the site and request your picture to be posted. Put it in an attachment. Hey Debby, Thank you for letting us know about this and I went out to look for it but there is July Ladies Home Journal on shelf but I will keep my eyes for August and hope to get it to put on our table for Summer Gathering Party to show people about this article. If I dont get it by July 14th then Can you make a copy of this article by using copying machine GREAT APPRECIATED SMILE! It is so cool our Doctor is on that magazine and We are very proud to say that is our doctor !!! SMILE! CONGRATS for Lisa C and AA for letting people to get edcuation about this surgery. HEY COOL!!! I didn't even know about this!! I'm so excited. A little surprised...but, what the heck. I'm happy to spread the word about my wonderful surgeon and this wonderful surgery. Anahid will be happy to hear about it too. THe other woman in the ad is also named Lisa, though I don't believe she participates in the board. If anybody picks up a copy and would spare me a photo copy of the ad, I'd appreciate it so much! I went to CVS and Walgreens looking for it and they didn't have any. Good eye Debbie!
