Pulmonologist for Dr. Aranow????

Can anyone tell me if they saw a Dr in middletown? I know his name starts with a G. lol.... I have an appt with him tomorrow and I was wondering as I have heard from others that there are some Dr's that have a machine that they give you and you have to hook it up to your finger and it registers all the information about if you wake u*****t during the night? I finally have my appt for my upper Endoscopy and it is the 14th of July so I am hoping after that I can get a date for the surgery. I am getting so anxious to BE HEALTHY again and be able to breathe and not get soaking wet from Sweat. By the way after you loose all the weight do you sweat less?? I sure hope so I as I clean for a living and I am ALWAYS SOAKING WET!!! Thanks so much for answering all my questions. Lisa

Can't help you on the Dr. name, but I know back in San Diego they did have a home machine that you could take home and sleep with to get the measurements. The problem is that often times something would come loose or not be attached right. There is a strap that goes around your chest a thing near your nose and the pulseox to measure your o2 sats. If your O2 sats go down even if you don't stop breathing, it's still a problem. I also notice that I hardly sweat anymore since losing the weight. Before I swear it was like I had hypohydrosis (excessive sweating). No matter how much deoderant/anti-persperant on I would be soaking wet. Now I hardly ever sweat.
