Hello everyone!
as I said in the subject it has been AGES since I have been on the OH site.
I am looking for typical day meals...
and MEAL PLANS for the week.
I need to get BACK ON TRACK.... and would like some great new ideas for meals.
I do think 3 a day would be ideal....I am not sure if there is a forum where people post what they eat... or ate...
or a checkin post daily....
so if anyone can direct me I would appreciate it....
I am starting a "weight loss, lifestyle challenge (hopefully tomorrow but certainly by Monday)  Even if I am just competing with myself.....
Thanks in advance
Sweet Mammy

Me too. I am joining weigh****chers this week, before Jan. 1st, because in the last three months i've gained about 17 pounds :( It's a long story, but the fact is, after being at goal for so long, I got lazy. I need that weekly weigh in, and I need help in portion control. I've been googling the new momentum plan but since i'm not familiar with the past core plan, it's all new to me. in any event, i HATE feeling like this: my clothes are tight and I feel, at about 150 pounds (i'm 5-8) just like I did at my top weight of about 350 lbs four years ago before my first surgery. I'll let you know how it goes. and good luck!

Thanks for being SO HONEST!  Dont beat yourself up... its an exersize that does not work!
I too have gained and need to get it under control! After 4 years you would think I understand what to put in to my mouth!  (and most importantly what not!)
My clothes are more then tight!  I went from a Small top to an XL.
I am so totally unhappy with it!  And although I am not even close to my original start weight... I FEEL like I am!
So I am here, looking for what people eat to maintain,.... and starting a NEW lifestyle today!

I've not had my surgery yet. Am hoping for a date in the next couple of weeks. However I have been lurking on the RNY main message board and usually everyday there is a post by one or more of them on what they've eaten for the day. It's kind of an "owning up to the good bad and the ugly" of daily food intake type of post. Maybe that would be of some help for you. Best of luck on getting back on track.

I eat four meals a day.....trying to keep each meal at or below 500 calories....with at least 20 gms of protein for lunch and dinner.  I eat NO bread....and try to drink as much water as possible.  I go to the gym a minimum of three times a week...except for the past two as holidays prevented me--more than likely..I let myself be convinced it was the holiday...but I will pay for it!

I do go to TOPS  (Take off Pounds Sensibly) because I too need to face the scale..the only difference between TOPS and WW is cost...the were started by the same folks...and half went with WW and the other half with TOPS...Tops cost $2 per week..with lost of incentives and contest to win cash and prizes.... with weekly informational meetings and several options of diets to follow...you can even follow the WW diet if you want to...but like I said..I need to face the scale to keep myself on track...

I am planning a tummy tuck in February, which the doctors thinks will take off a minimum of 20 pounds which will put me almost at goal...I still can't believe it...but I know..as you have pointed out..it is a lifetime of eating right and exercise!

hope this helps...happy new year!

I am trying to establish the habit of eating health and being responsible for what I eat and how I exercise. I am in the 6 mos pro op diet phase and found The Daily Plate a wonderful and free tool to help me. It allows you to put in any food or name brand and gives you nutritional info and breaks down % in graph form. I love visual aids!!

Check it out...http://www.livestrong.com/thedailyplate/

WOW! thanks alot!  I have used fitday in the past... I thought it had a place where you can add recipes and get calories per serving... but cant find it now.

Anyway I am looking to eat fresh foods (not processed)

Limit quantities to SERVING SIZE
Drink more water
exersize.....

sometimes you can learn alot from someone who is pretty new at RYN! (actually more times then not!)
Congratualtions on your work!  Keep it up...and thanks again for hte help!
