RECIPE=Less $$, Cals than Store made
Hi CT!
As much as I think H2o is a great fluid and top of the list for getting in all my fluids, I am trying to mix it up a bit.
So...I bought a 10 oz bottle of Carb Countdown (yogurt) Smoothie (100cals, 13 gm protein, 1 sugar) yesterday. It was refreshing. I thought it would be a nice way to get more fluids (Full Liquid) and protein and calcium in on a hot summer day.
But it would be costly to have one each day...so I got thinking
why not make my own...the ingredients are basic.
Here 'tis
Towanda's version of Yogurt Smoothie
4 oz CarbControl Yogurt
4 oz Carb Countdown FatFree Milk
2 oz H2o
Yields: 10 oz liquid, 95 calories, 17 gm protein, 4 gm sugars
All in all a better product for far less the cost!
Towanda
ENJOY!
P.S. One could even put in a scoop of protein to "kick it up a notch"
