I was wondering I'm only a month out from surgery. What is the normal timing for starting to work out? I just find that I am very tired still especially after working all day. I come home and the last thing I want to do is exercise. Any suggestions? Laurie B.

How Laurie, I started excersizing 3 weeks after surgery. Started with just slow walks on the treadmill and worked myself up to using weights. You decide what you are capable of. Don't want to ru**** and end up hurting yourself. Good Luck and take care, Julio

Thanks Julio, I've just been feeling so guilty like I need to be doing a regular exercise regimen but physically just can't get there yet. I have been adding walking by parking farther, etc. But not a set workout. Hopefully my energy level picks up soon. Laurie B.

I can tell you not to feel guilty and do what you can but the fact is that you will feel guilty and second guess yourself asking am I doing enough etc etc. I to did not feel energetic enough at about 2 weeks and then on. The past three weeks are coming around and I am starting to be more active in my daily routine and the exercise has improved and yours will to. As you weigh less you will want to move more. But do keep moving! Try to go for a walk and do it regularly. You will be amazed at how you progress with speed etc. Best of luck to you. Kelly
