Milestone/WOW moment

Hi Everyone; Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, I am quite proud of myself today and wanted to share with you. It's a milestone and wow moment all rolled into one. Today I participated in my first ever charity walk. It was 4 miles and not only did I fini**** I also received a placque (sp?) for the most money raised from an individaul walker. I raised $540 myself, and together the event raised over $27,000. The walk benefitted Alpha Community Services, a charity that runs shelters and transitional living centers for homeless families. This is certainly not something that I would have done a year and a half, and 150 pounds ago. I am thankful to my friends and family that contributed, not only financially, but emotionally as well. Their support throughout this wonderful journey has made a world of difference. I can only hope that I can continue to pay forward all of the positivity that has been extended to me. It continually amazes me just how much this surgery changes your life. Thanks for listening and I hope that your days are filled with exciting milestones and lots of wow moments. Bob...you know how I feel... ...do you? I hope so... It is a true honor to know you... ...to walk along a similar path...be kindred spirits. You are not only a man with a golden heart, but a FUN guy to be with. You always make me LAUGH...a much needed thing in this world.
