Help with Exercise
Robin,
Getting up at 430 would be a killer for anyone. If you really don't have the energy, why not incorporate little extras within your day.
Park further away at work and when you go shopping (don't take the closest parking space). Take the stairs rather than the elevator (reasonably a flight or two) Drink lots of water so that you'll have to make extra bathroom trips.
If you do get a lunch hour, use a portion of the time for a power walk (even 10 minutes will help...it may also give you extra energy).
Then just make sure that you do a good hour both Saturday and Sunday.
Any weight you lose pre-surgery is going to be helpful.
Wishing you much luck on your journey!
Kelly

Robin, when Elina told me the same thing, here is what i was able to come up with: AT work durig morning break, walk outside for 15 minutes (take icewater with you as it is hot)..if you can get a work buddy to walk with you, even better..do the same in the afternoon, walk for 15 minutes..if your work situation doesnot allow for this, i also took my 30 minutes lunch and divided it in half...had a quick lunch, like a low carb drinkable yogurt, and ate an apple while walking the other half of my lunch...now that i am post op i m using the old treadmill that has been sitting, basically unused, in the basement for years... its definitely too hot for me to walk outside right now, and i also need the rail to hold on to as i am not yet strong enough....i am trying to do 10 minutes 4 times a day...now that may sound like a lot, but i am super slow, so its not really aerobic wlking, its mre like dragging...i hope to build my speed up as i get stronger...i know you cando it...also, think of things you can do with kids, friends, etc..like playing frisbee.....remember that it is not important to get all your exercise in at onve, you cando a bunch of shorter things throughout the day..I know you can do it....how about
