Insurance
Well the insurance issues have officially begun for me! I knew they would knowing tricare and how extremely helpful they are (insert sarcasm here). They were supposed to do a manual approval for my cariologist referral because he's out of network and I submitted that two weeks ago. I checked on it today and there's no record of it- not only that but now they're claiming that they don't EVER do such a thing as a manual approval despite the fact that they've done it for me before.
When I tried to explain this to them they refused to listen to me and kept saying they can't go against the rules. Sorry ma'am and all that stuff. They told me to call my primary care dr. and have him do a new referral noting that particular doctor only and they'd 'see' what they could do. I called him and his nurse said "I can ask but he won't do it I'm sure-you'll have to come in for a new appt. to get it" (the base is an hour away from me mind you) and "I'm certainly not going to make this an ASAP request it will be routine because you shouldn't have booked the appt. in advance blah blah blah" They broke me and I got upset even though I shouldn't have...
Well, my appointment is supposed to be Tuesday as I booked ahead so I'd get in sooner rather than later. Now I have to reschedule it and continue to try and get what I need from the insurance company. Sorry for the long vent-agious post but this type of stuff drives me crazy!

Ugh!!!! Why is that happening? Can you use a cardiologist thats in your network? How much would it be if you had to do out of network?
