That's not a dumb question at all! This is a very individual thing. I find that I can swallow any size pill, but I know some folks who can't, I think you will have to wait and see. Good luck with your surgery!

I had a lap RNY on 7/21/04 and was unable to swallow pills (especially large ones) for a couple of months. I can now swallow my HUGE vitamins w/out a problem

You really need to ask your surgeon. I know at first they don't want you to swallow any kind of pills. After they give you clearance, it's very individual. I can swallow monster pills now. Some can't.
