question for lap band patiens

i will like to know those who had the lap band wehn you guys went for your first fill what diet did you have to follow and how long did you stay on it. right now i am in stage 5 wich is soft foods and i am about to get a fill this wednesday. thanks for your response

I just had my fill 2 weeks ago and with my doctor (Dr. Tran) I did not have to follow any special diet afterwards. I was already on the "any food" part of the diet when I had it done and they said to just make sure I chew everything really good and I have not had any problems. From what I understand all the doctors are different so I'm not sure what your's will make you do. Good luck and don't worry too much about it, it really wasn't a big deal. No pain at all and I didn't even feel anything different when they were done, they put 1cc in mine and so far so good. Patty

Hi, Julio! My surgeon has his patients follow a full-liquids diet for two days after a fill. And, as I discovered the hard way, it was a good recommendation to follow. Bette 376/176~~~December 2003
