Getting banded on Tuesday 12/16

Hi. I'm getting banded on Tuesday 12/16 and not very nervous. The pre-op diet wasn't so bad, now it's the 2 day clear liqued stuff. Any advice (good or bad) on the surgery and recovery time? How long before I can drive?

No advice since I am not banded. I wasn't driving for over two weeks cause I was so sore. Everyone is different tho. Good luck on Tuesday!

I had a bypass, not band, but I am two weeks out, down 26.5 pounds, and feel good. The 1st few days were uncomfortable, but I started driving again a week after surgery. I wasn't supposed to before my 2 week appt, which is two days from now, but I feel I know my limitations. My biggest thing is that I am totally sick of sipping everything!

Congratulations on your loss and that you're feeling good. I think with the band it's a few days, but i'm not exactly sure. Yea I can imagine about the sipping.. i'm on the 2 day pre-op clear liquid stuff and i'm tired of broth already. I'll be sipping to soon and i'm sure I'll feel the same as you!

So does this mean that you will be tracked on any GPS system.   Sorry it just struck me as a banding they do on Birds.

Sorry I'm getting back to you so long after your post.  I felt up to driving about 4 days after.  It was eight days before I went back to work.  It really wasn't a big deal for me.  The burping/gurgling is what bothered me the most the first three days.  After that I felt like I was on vacation! LOL.
