I walked in the Newington Memorial Day Parade with my son's T'Ball Team. We had a great time, And then I had to walk him back to the car, and I started thinking: Do "normal weight" people live their lives with constant pain? Now I don't mean people who have chronic conditions like arthritis or fibromialgia, but regular normal weight people. Are they constantly aware of their body because some part of it is in pain? do they feel their feet, their knees, their hips, their backs, throbing in pain on a constant basis? Do they skip activities that they would normally enjoy, because they know from experience that they will be barely able to move the next day? I mean, all these things have been such a constant part of my life for the last 15, 16 years that I wonder...Is This normal? I have a sneeking suspicion that it is not, that people dont have to live their lives in constant pain...And if that is true, DOES THAT MEAN THAT I WILL BE PAIN FREE ??????? Part of me does not even dare to see a future where I am not feeling the pain...I am so used to it..but another part of me, the hopeful joyful part, sees the possibilities...my surgery date is 06-08-2005....

Dorota- You and I must be on the same wave length. I cannot foresee a future pain fee after being in so much pain for so long. Thank you for putting "our" thoughts out there. I'm bummed that I missed the parade! Congratulations and best of luck for your surgery date of the 8th! It's so close! Your Newington Neighbor, Robin

Robin...Just as you voiced my thoughts at the support meeting!!! Too cool...I do have a close date, it took me by surprise as i was worried about meeting my june 30th insurance deadline.....The parade was fun..my son's team carried the banner for little league and they tripped over it several times..but they survived...of course, today I hurt everywhere, and to add insult to injury , mu allergies are also killing me,,man, if it's not one thing, it's another, lol
