Hello all! I was wondering if anyone has gotten their insurance company to pay even if your policy states a written exclusion? I was wondering if there was any wiggle room? Thanks!

It's all about how the exculsion is worded and wether or not there is a way around the wording. For example- some insurances will exclude WLS for obesity. However, did you know that Morbid Obesity and Obesity are not always considered the same thing by insurance. Anyway, that's an example. Some insurances will approve with a fight, others will fight to the death. You never know till you try. But, CAREFULLY and thoroughly read your policy on WLS and see what it says word for word to see if there are any back doors. Then, talk to others who have the same insurance and see how they dealt with it. GOod luck to you! Lisa C
