Maggie I am sorry I am late but better than nothing!!!! I noticed your 1 anniversary for this surgery was May 10th! Thank you all so much. I can't believe a year has gone by already. It seems like it's only been a few months. Let me see if I can give a quick update. I am currently down 98 pounds from my heaviest weight. Unfortunately I am still on bedrest, so that means I am still not exercising. I just got out of Yale on Friday yet again and I was really discouraged. I told the Dr. I had had the Gastric Bypass to help with the heart condition and he said just imagine how much worse it would be with the extra weight on. He had a good point. Prior to surgery I was wearing a size 22 or a 2x and I am now wearing a size 6 and s bottoms with m tops. It just amazes me. My diabetes is in complete remission. I just had it tested and fasting it was a 93. I still have no regrets about doing this at all. I can't wait to be able to get out there and be more active again. Hopefully this procedure will do the trick. I really want to make the summer gathering, but can't make definite plans due to my health. Thank you all for your kind words. You all are so sweet.
