Gastric Band

Has anyone in CT had the gastric band? I seem to see all RNY.

Hello Rose, I had the gastric band on 3/3/05 and it has been great. I have lost 41 pounds all together with the liquid diet before and after getting the band. I go on 5/23 to have the band filled and they said that should help even more. Did you already have surgery or are you going to have surgery? Patty

Patty' I'm waiting to get approved for the lap band. I got the psychologist's approval yesterday and am having Dr. Richi do the surgery in Waterbury.

Bette: I just wanted to say thank you for your inspiration. I read your profile and you look absolutely fantastic. I am so happy that I had the surgery done knowing how better I feel and how much weight I am losing. I have lost 70lbs so far and I am 4 months postop. Your such an inspiration to us all. I had the LapRNY and I would do it all over again. My doctor was Dr. Denise Barajas at St Raphaels and they were wonderful too.
