Its almost 5am..I had been tossing and turning in bed since 2:30am..so I decided to get up and read some email This is going to be a long day! Went to the gym last night for an hr workout. Tonight is water aerobics..but I cannot make it. Its the last night my sister is in town and we are getting the family together. I made her promise me at least a 2 mile walk tonight!! B cottage cheese L salad with chicken salad S-SF jello/FF coolwhip D-family is having pizza...maybe I will get some meatballs and a salad Joanie

Good Mornign Everybody, I spoke with Lois and she emailed me later that Dr Aranow wants me to take chromagen Forte (iron pill)twice a day not once a day to see how I feel later this week and will have another bloodwork in three more weeks later. I had a good workout with Linda last night then went for walk with my daughter who rode her bike around. Tonight I will do treadmill for 30 min after work then watch my son at baseball game tonight B morning start bar S simple smart milk L Lean cruise S Nectar protein drink D ????

Question about the Nectar protein drink..Is that ready to use or is it a powder? I know you said we could get it at power house gym in groton. thanks Dee

Good morning everyone, Never made it to the gym yesterday, but daughter and I walked 3 miles, it was beautiful. Going to the gym this morning, some kind of class and the circuit. B - not sure yet, leaning toward an egg L - hamburg patty D - we are going to Outback for my BD which is soon. Daughter has a concert the night of my BD. I will share a steak with my other daughter, we share the salad, she gives me some steak and eats the rest. We are both happy. S - sf popsicle Pam

Hey All! I am SOOOOOO tired today. I am having a hard time getting up and even a shower didn't help. I am sure it is par for the course and I quess I will just relax today. I don't like to lay around too much though, cause I have a little flebitis in my arm (doc gave me a script) and I am worried about it in my legs. I know I am overreacting, but it still concerns me. I have spoken with the nurse again today *****assured me its okay, but still nervous. On to the food: Woke up a little nauseas, but I had and am going to have: B: 2oz pudding with protein powder L: CIB with Smart Start milk and protein powder. I made about 4 oz, so I will drink this for lunch and for my afternoon snack. S: Rest of CIB D: Protein shake or I am really contemplating trying some peanut butter. S: Popsicle or Jello 2oz. I know when I see the doctor on Friday, he is going to tell me to start eating soft foods and introducing new foods. This frightens me. I don't want to get sick from anything. I think this is going to hinder me from trying new foods. I am scared to try the peanut butter. Oh, I will get on my glider for at least 10 minutes today at some point. Phyllis You are doing great!! Don't worry..we all have had a hard time getting the things in very early post op. My first soft food was a scrambled egg...not sure I would do pnut butter at first either. Keep moving--you are on your way! Joanie

Hey Joanie! Good to see your face. I didn't eat very well yesterday -- stress issues I needn't bore everyone with. I got in enough protein, but also more than enough carbs. I did, however, force myself to go to the gym, to work off anxiety as much as to work off calories! I did 45 minutes on the eliptical machine, 15 on the stationary bike, and some weights with my arms. Felt much better once I did that. Today: Kashi Go Lean High Protein Cereal w/Carb Countdown Skim Milk Insides of sandwiches (work) -- chicken & cheese Yoplait Light Yogurt in Blackberry Tonight: Grilled tuna Veggies

Hi Kathy F. Long time.... Stress? What's that? Instead of eating I am proud of you for going to the gym...what a change in our lives eh? 45 min on the elipital? Oh MY! I am proud that I have incresed mine to 12 min... That machine kills me. I started at 5 min..so I have more than doubled my time... Not sure I could ever do 45 min tho!! Carbs...why was is so easy to leave the carbs when we were first post op?? I am better than I was a couple months ago..and sometimes can go a couple days without them..but the keep creeping on back. My sister goes back to Florida today...I am trying to pospone an overnight trip I planned with a friend to Mohegan this weekend. I cannot keep going like this!! Afterall, I am 50 yrs old...I cant take this on the go lifestyle like I used to! Keep up the good work..hope your stress is relieved soon! Hugs Joanie
