Got My Surgery Date Today

Hello Friends,

I went to Dr. Tishler's office today for my pre op..  I was a little disappointed with my surgery date..  The only date he had left for the end of the year was 12/24..  For obvious reasons, one being my 6 year old I could not go on that day, also because Dr. Tishler's surgeries are all inpatient I did not want to spend my Christmas in the hospital..  So the next date he had available was January 7th..  Gosh that seems so far away!!!  I am really disappointed, I thought for sure it would have been in December.  I had heard that at your pre op your surgery is usually 2-3 weeks after..  Arrrghghhhh, but I guess I have waited this long, whats a little longer...  Thanks for listening!!

January is a good month for WLS. But then again I am just a little biased. Just think you will knock out wyour max out of pocket right at the beginning of the year! I got approved the week after Thanksgiveing (WOW it's been almost a year) and i waited until Jan. It won't kill you. Trust me. ;)

Going through the holidays can be stressful enough.  At least this way you can enjoy them with your family.  Can't think of a better way to start the new year.  It will come and go faster than you think.  Good Luck.

i think thats a great date, you can enjoy your holiday, have a great Christmas dinner and not sure if you have a liquid diet, but start off fresh for the new year, I am hoping i get a date in Jan, i am awaiting a call back for my pre-op class right now!!!
