silly question about belly gas
basically, is this what I am having?
I feel that feeling when your really hungry and your stomach gurgles, full of air.
I have been sipping my water. eating my jello slowly. I feel it gurling somewhat, but nothing is really escaping. Sounds silly I know, im just trying to get an idea of what i feeling.
thanks

You had surgery!!! I didn't even realize it. You have the band but I had the rny so I am really not sure. It sounds like gas or something isn't being tolerated. I know that's how I feel if I get too much dairy. I thought I was gonna die when I had my first shake. It was made with Lactaid but I was still in pain. You can always ask on the band forum. They might know better.
I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

WooHoo....You're done!!!!!!
You're having gas...lot gets trapped in there...PLUS, some don't know this, but, SPlenda can cause LOTS of gas. I can't eat things with splenda.
Real only way to rid and move it is to walk...
Your pouch is so new, you'll feel the stuff inside of you...the pouch is way up at the top of your incision.
You're healing, too. The pulling you're feeling about one inch on both sides of your incision are sutures he used to actually close you up....the tape just holds it more together...and, on the far left, you may feel a pulling, cause he attaches the old stomach somewhere so it just doesn't flap around and that takes time to heal.
Keep moving and you'll feel much better.
If in doubt...call Lois or the on call doc. I don't remember if they recommended anything for the gas if it got too bad. Try not to swallow too much air.
What day did you come home? Keep those stockings on!
Do your breathing, too.
