Angel Update on Michael Schneider
Hello all and I am so sorry this update didn't get here sooner. I must say I now feel very bad about putting my family and friends through me having this surgery. I was and am a nervous wreck for my brother. He is doing fine now and walking thr halls BUT.... He came out of surgery at approx 12:00 and and Dr. Aranow said everything went wonderful. He even said most likely his pain and soreness probably wont be as bad as mine due to he is in more shape than I was and other factors....
So, I leave to go to work at 1:30 and by 3:00 I have a voicemail from my mom to call her right away. I call and find out Michael was still in recovery,he wasnt coming out of the Anesthesia and his oxygen level was very low. So I "in a nutshell freaked" was hysterical ended up leaving work by 4:30pm because I couldnt concentrate. To make a long story short Michael was finally out of recovery 6 hours after his surgery and when I left the hospital at 7:30pm they were getting him up to walk. He is hurting but in good spirits. Still very groggy from the Anesthesia. Thank god. I think this experience may have taken 10 years off my life and must have gotten 50 gray hairs...lol
I can't wait to see everyone tomorrow night at the meeting.

Hi Julie...
Problems coming out of anesthesia are common, even for non obese people. Even 3+ years post-op, with my last round of plastic surgery...in February, I had a very difficult time coming out of anesthesia, and a surgery in which I should have been on my way home from the hospital by 3:00 p.m., I was still in the hospital until almost 9:00 that night.
I'm glad to hear that Mike is doing well now...and you all continue to be in my prayers daily. Never blame yourself for anyone else's problems with this surgery...we all go into this knowing that there could be complications. I know that you freaked out but in the end, all is well and soon Mike will be dancing the skinny dance with ya.
Love to you all!!!
