I am new here

I am new here. I am planning to have WLS this summer after we return to Ct. We are snowbirds and spend the winter in Florida. My Husband had WLS Sept 2007 and he has done so well, I have decided it is time for me to have it also. I went through all the support meetings with him,so know what to expect. He has lost 130 pounds.
I am currently seeing a DR. in Florida for the 6 month diet/excerise program. I will have all my other appts. when we return to Ct. Hopefully my insurance approval will go smoothly, I have Unitedhealthcare and Heathnet.

Welcome! You are so luckey to be a snowbird since it's soooo cold here and it gets worse after surgery. What part of Florida are you in? I love it there.

Thank you! We are in Polk City,near Lakeland. We build a house in an RV community last winter and just moved in last month. I know about the cold. My husband is freezing now! It was 37 this morning,but it does warm up during the day. I love it,next year will be a different story.
We sold our house to our DD and her husband. We stay with them when we return in the summer.
I am looking forward to getting alot of info here.

Never been there. I go to St. Pete cause believe it or not my grandmother lives there.  I want to hit the Keys someday and my hubby wants to fish so it could happen. I however will hit the beach in my shar pei body and read since I get so motion sick now. Forgot to tell you, if you have any questions, and I mean any, feel free to ask. We are pretty open about everything and will answer you.

Welcome....and good luck with your 6 mth D & E!  I had my surgery in July...and had the summer to relax ... it was a great time of year!  then again, a new beginning is good anytime!

Thank you! It is hard losing weight here. There are so many functions to attend and food is everywhere! I have a recumbent bike and ride it every other day.

Just an update! We are leaving for Ct. on May 8th via Motorhome. I called Dr.A's office today and booked all my appointments. I just need to attend 2 support group meetings. Hopefully I will have the WLS in June or July. My daughter is having a baby late July and needs me to help!
I am so ready to be thin!
