HELP I am just starting the process

I am a 37 yr old MOM of 3 and have battled my weight all my life. I go to the meeting on May 11th to start the process I am at 283 lbs at this point and I have tried everything including the prescription Meridien. I need to do something for me and I know this is what I want to do. How do you explain to your children what is going to happen to their MOM over the next few months?

Hi Barbara, How old your children are? I told my daugther who just turned 7 years old last fall that Mom will go to the hospital to have doctor fix my stomach so mom can lose weight and stay alive longer on earth. for my son who was 11 and half years old, I told him the truth and detials about this operation and why I need this surgery. My friends and family were very support me. I do understand this battle of your weight all your life and all of us know what it like and went through. Who is your doctor? Thank you for all your support, My 12 and 11 year olds understand fully but I have not really told my 7 yr old, My daughter said to me So after everything is over for you does that mean we will basically have a new looking mom! I laughed so hard I said I will still be the same mom but just a skinny one! I have not eating junk anymore, no soda but mayber a sip from my husband only water about 6-8 bottles a day. I go to the seminar in a week from to day at St raphaels, Does anyone know how long after the seminar do you get an appointment with Dr Barajas?
