JA~
A few "corrections" to Stu's shake info... (she said smiling)
? EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Shakes (Chocolate): 100 cals, 15g protein, 3g fat.
? EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Shakes (Fruit Citrus Splash): 60 Cal., 15g protein, 0g fat.
? EAS Myoplex Carb Sense (chocolate): 140 cals, 25g protein, 4g fat.
And if one is lucky...can be bought at Ocean State Job Lot or Odd Lots around the state for less than the mainstream supplier**** or miss though.
And for the record? (My humble opinion only....)
Sometimes, that "pulling up one's socks" mentality can be detrimental to one's progress....acknowledging the process (as you are) and then moving ahead, is the best in the long run, I have found.
Be well...

JA:
I have missed roll call. I am with you on the sugar thing. It does not make me sick either. I don't eat it often but I can have a little once in a while. I know the plateaus are stressful but just think how well you have done. I know you will get there it just takes time.
I am doing ok. Going thru some medical stuff right now not realated to WLS but I know whatever the outcome is I am in better physical condition to deal with it now than I was 9 months ago. I have lost 85 pounds and am 10 pounds from Dr.Bell's goal.
Glad the weather is getting nicer so I can get out there and walk more. Hope to see lots of people tomorrow night at the Yale meeting.
Talk to you later
Hugs

Hey Everyone!
Believe it or not, even after 2 years I still read these boards. They help keep me honest. I never, ever want to forget where I was. The place where my happiness seemed un-attainable.
Maggie, I hear you, ever since my own gallbladder surgery in Nov 04, I have not felt great either. But I am at goal, (below) at 145 and today had on a tight size 6. They felt uncomforatable all day. I wouldn't admit that anywhere but here.
For the most part I feel well now. No more pain in my abdomen. THANK GOD!!!! It stayed for SO long......
I keep in daily touch with Natasha, and Steve. They are my forever friends. I am here for them, and they for me. Thank you, from my heart...
People come and go from your lives and then you are touched by some. They have touched me. Conn. is the best message board by far, so many people keep in touch here. My other friends from other states complain their boards are lacking personal touches, because of Kathy K and so many others we all keep together.
Thank you ALL for always being there for me, God, knows I need it!!!
Cheryl
Hi JA
You have done a great job! Walking that much is fantastic!! I, too, have had my weight loss slow down, but am exercising like crazy.
I just got back from a girlfriend weekend in Tennesee. We had a ball...and I bright my walk aerobics video and do the 2 mile walk 2 out of the four days I was gone. I did moderate walking on the other two days. I had a terrific time with lots of oohs and ahhs from my friends who I have not seen in a year.
I came home to the news that my son had totalled our car. He was lucky to come out of it without a scratch...and I was thankful for that. Right now as the day sets in..I am so angry with him for speeding and having others in the car when he is such a new driver. I know all parents go through stuff like this...but parenting is so stressful in these teenage years.
I got back on the protein train and have had a very very low carb day today. I went to water aerobics tonight..it felt good.
So great to see what everyone is up to. Great Idea Janis!

JA-
Great Idea bringing back the roll call, I am new to the family here at the CT Board, been on for about 6 months or so.
I had my surgery 12/30/04 and I started at 324lbs, now I am 4 months postop and have lost 70lbs so far. I am so happy that I did this, I am feeling so wonderful.
I went from a tight 30-32 now down to a 2x or 22, which are getting big now. Its a great feeling. Dr. Barajas was a wonderful surgeon and I thank god everyday I made this decision in my life to better myself.
Also I have made some wonderful friends on this site. This is one family I really treasure. Thanks so much all. Love you all!!!
Hugs,
KimC
