Support Group Meetings-Hartford-Bridgeport-New Haven-and in between

I had my surgery in Tampa Florida on January 7th and as of yesterday am down 92 pounds. I feel great and am about to start an exercise program. I desperately miss my support group meetings. I read the post about Middletown on Tuesday and Hamden on Monday----I will try to attend both meetings and look forward to meeting my WLS brothers and sisters from Connecticut. I live in Waterbury and am looking for other support group meetings--can anyone help Stu Perlmutter

Hello Stu: Welcome to the CT WLS Family. We have various support groups in New Haven too. There usually are listings here on the website. St Raphaels usually has one once a month along with Yale too. I belong to the surgery group at St Raphaels which is Dr. Reinholds group. My surgeon is Dr. Denise Barajas. They are usually held on Thursday evenings for post-ops around 6pm. The group that is held in Hamden is a great group of people. I have become friends with some of the members of the CT board and they are wonderful people. Also they are having a summer gathering in July, you should plan to come so you can meet everyone. Welcome to CT and I hope to meet you one day. There is one on the last Tuesday of the month at St. Francis Hospital, 1000 Asylum Avenue, Hartford. Gengras Room, 1st Floor. Hope to see ya there, a bit of a hike from the New Haven area, but you will be more than welcome.

Hi Stu, Welcome to Ct Message board!!! I am hoping to meet you at Middlesex Post op meeting tomorrow. I will be there to see old and new faces there. Also I am giving a party for getting together ( Summer Gathering Party in Waterford, Ct) . I will bring my papers for informations to pass out to people there.
