Support Group Meetings Next Week

Hi, All! Next week is the 1st week of the month, so it's a busy one for support group meetings. I'm going to 2 -- night after night. Monday night (May 2nd) alone there are 2, but the one at Middlesex (from 7 to 8) is for pre-ops only (nutritional and psych. info. with Elina and Kim Daniels), so I'll be going to the one in Hamden (from 6:30 to 8 at the Senior Center behind the Miller Library on Dixwell Ave.). Tuesday night, May 3rd, is the monthly post-op meeting at Middlesex, from 7 to 8. I hope to see at least some of you each night and hopefully go to dinner after at least one of the meetings, if not both. If I have leftovers from 2 restaurant meals, I'll be set with food for the rest of the week! If anyone needs directions, please e-mail me. Have a good weekend! Debby

Hi Debby, Blast from the past here. I am hoping to attend tuesday nights meeting. I will be with my brother at the hosptial so I plan on it. I also wanted to let everyone know mikes update wont be posted till after midnight the day of his surgery due to I will be at work with no internet access so don't be alarmed when you don't see one. Hi, Julie! I'm planning to arrive early at the hospital Tues. evening so that I can visit both Marcia K. (who's being lapbanded Tues.) and your brother before the meeting, so I might run into you on the 4th floor. I hope that this month you will join us for dinner after the meeting. I had my surgery in Tampa Florida on January 7th. I am down 92 pounds as of yesterday---desperately miss my support meetings in Florida. I will try to attend both Monday in Hamden and Tuesday in Middletown.

Hi, Stu! I remember you posted something a few months ago regarding looking for support group meetings in CT for when you returned from FL. Both of these are good meetings; I hope to see you there and we'd be happy to have you join us for dinner afterward. (Mon. night dinner is a "maybe", but Tues. night is pretty much a sure thing.) Besides the camaraderie, it's also a good way to both continue the support of the meeting and get to know some people a little better. If I remember correctly, you're in the Waterbury area; if you want directions to either or both meetings, e-mail me. Debby

Debby, I was going to try to come on Monday, but we have a big departmental meeting after work on Monday, then I have a reunion dinner at Country House in EH with an old bank I worked for. I keep missing the meetings, something always comes up. I am so sorry, I really want to come and meet everyone. I will try again the following week, hopefully nothing will come up.
