HELP WITH HAIR LOSS AND FLABBY SKIN
I'M RECENTLY EXPERIENCING HAIR LOSS AND LOOSE SKIN . I'VE LOST A TOTAL OF 50LBS AND MY BODY IS SO FLABBY ESPECIALLY ON MY UPPER ARMS AND THIGHS I DON'T LIKE IT CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO TO TIGHTEN UP AND ALSO WITH THE HAIR LOSS. I KNOW THAT I DON'T GET ENOUGH PROTEIN IN AND I SHOULD BE TAKING SOME B-12 VIT.HELP ME IF YOU TRULY CAN

Lydia,
I noticed I got very jiggly at around the 50 - 60 pound mark. Up to that point, I really had not done much exercise except for a little walking. I started resistance training and stepped up the walking. That has helped me firm up a bit so I don't feel like a bowl of jello when I walk.
As for hair loss, I don't know if it was taking in extra protein or if I just was lucky, but I did not lose much hair at all. I noticed a little extra hair than normal in the bathroom between 4 & 6 months and now into my 7th month it has gotten back to normal. I did get in at least 70-80g of protein every day and I made sure to take all my vitamins.
hope that helps

Hi Lydia,
Just wanted to add my 2 cents here. I was losing hair like crazy.. huge clumps, it was so disgusting.. so I cut my hair shorter and that really seemed to help. I don't lose any now, but I also get my protein in.
When I lost a big chunk of weight in the first few months, my body got really jiggly and I was hoping that wouldn't last. It didn't. I mean, I'm still mushy, but with exercise some of it is firming up. It also takes time for our bodies to adjust to all the weight-loss. As far as sagging, flabby skin.. the skin itself isn't shrinking at all. People always said to me "oh you're young, it'll shrink back"... NOT. They were all wrong.. don't know who fed them that line of bull-oney. That stuff I'm going to have to get removed surgically.. but when I look back, I'd rather have the skin than the huge amount of fat.
Just enjoy the rollercoaster, as much as you can.. b/c that's the only thing I can think of that can describe it. It does get much better. Do the things you need to do, change you and you'll see how things change for the better.
Take care,
Michelle

I absolutely agree that the flabbies CAN get better with exercise and time! I know mine did, dramatically! I have hope that yours will too. Just make sure you're doing some muscle building exercises regularly.
Regarding that protein thing...
Well, if you're not getting enough- that could be part of your hair problem. Try adding a protein bar or shake into your daily routine. There were never any that I really liked, so I can't advise you...but I just choked something down for the protein content, because I knew I had too.
Yes, make sure you're getting some B12!! Go to your local pharmacy and ask for a sublingual or a liquid. I get my liquid from Rite Aid. It's call Spring..something...sorry, can't remember. Take it a few times a week. You'll feel much better.
Hang in there,
Lisa C
