Help, Moving to CT - Doctor Suggestions?

Hi!

I received the realize band on October 29th. Then we found out my husband got a huge job promotion, so we will be moving to CT in a month. We will be living in Middletown, my best guess is I will be working in either Hartford or New Haven, or somewhere in between. I am going to have to find a new bariatric doctor to take care of my post op and fills. I am getting worried they might not take me since they did not do the surgery. I also don't know anything about doctors out there. So I am hoping to get some reccomendations about doctor's and weight loss centers.

WOO HOO a midwesterner moving here. I am from Ohio originally. 'Bout 30 to 45 minutes from the OH-IN border. Anyway... Dr. A is in Middletown. I think he only takes post-op patients if thye moved to the area. Check him out, he's good. I also know Dr. Tischler is in Hartford and is really good. The doc at St. Francis is newer but I have heard nothing but good stuf about him too. I'm not sure about the shore area but I am sure you will have someone chime in for there. Welcome to CT! It's a whole different animal out here.

My Surgeon  is Dr Aranow and he is out of middletown. I Highly recomend him!

Well, lucky you.  You're moving to a state with some great bariatric surgeons!! 
Suggestions would be Dr. Aronow in Middletown or Dr. Bell in New Haven.

I want to echo the Dr. Aranow reccomendation. He is awesome!  He works out of Middletown and is affiliated with Middlesex Hospital.  He also has support group meetings at Middlesex, if you're interested.

Hi and welcome to CT soon.   My surgery was done by Timothy Ehrlich from Fairfield Country Bariatrics and he and his staff are awesome!

I would recommend them to everyone.

Dr. Aranow in Middletown is wonderful.  He's at Middlesex Hospital right in Middletown.  There are monthly support meetings and his staff is great.  I am working thru all the pre-op steps with Br. Aranow and I am very pleased.  He removed my gallblader several years ago and I wouldn't trust this surgery to anyone else. Welcome to CT...hope to see you at meeting or stay connected on the OH board!

I love Dr. Aranow...very talented surgeon!!!!  He just recently removed my gallbladder as well.....BTW...welcome to CT!!!!!
