Hi Paula...

First it's great to hear from you... been quite awhile!

I'm VERY sure it's dumping.. I know the symptoms anywhere.... it's continueing today.. although not as severe.  Periodically & it's after I drink or attempt to.. it's Awful.

I did call Rose Mary & Dr. R was suppose to get back to me yesterday as it has me freaking out a little...today is ALOT of pain & nauseau along with the dumping.. no throwing up though.

He hasn't called me back yet so I'm a little disappointed & I kept my mind off of it by staying busy at work today.

Scary part is I litterally PASSED OUT yesterday folding laundry.. don't remember how/when.. woke up in the recliner with socks on my lap that I was sorting.. it was only 15-20 minutes but it's like amnesia.. thank the Good Lord I move around alot at work so don't think I gave my body the opportunity to do that stunt again.

If this new symptom continues over the weekend I'll contact Dr. R's office.. I really don't think it's a bug.. I had one a few weeks ago that was a doozy & I'm pretty much done with that.  The heart racing & all the side affects all point to dumping syndrome.  I'm not "eating" & if I can it's usually stuff I know I can barely tolerate in small amounts & it's all protein.

As for lawyers.. I haven't reached out to any since this new mess started..with the revision & God knows what else.  I did reach out during the spring to 6-7 attorneys.. 1 is actually suing my former Dr on 2 cases.. & the other was refered to me.. that also has a lawsuit against him for a patient that died.  The first atty told me (at the time) there are at least 7 lawsuits in the works.

Long story short.. one was interested.. however because I was not "permanently maimed" (at the time) & not on perm meds.. etc.. etc... they felt I didn't have much to go on.  The clincher was amazingly my pre-op testing on my gall bladder & documentation is missing when I requested it along with all of my other records from my former Dr. & the hospital.

Now I believe it might be a different story due to negligence.  However I really want to see exactly what is going to take place other than a major revision once Dr. R gets in there.  Alot of "shady" areas in my last surgery report.. & a lot of "key" information is missing.  Once I get a better understanding of what is needed.. what will take place.. & what has/had/will happen then I'll move forward & see what options (if any) I do have.

Unfortunately there are more of us creeping out that are having issues.. some minor & some of us major that could have been avoided.  I don't know Paula.. I'm not a malicious or vengful type of person.. it's just so scary how many are now having some major issues or are being "hurt".

I spoke to someone during the summer that at the time was STILL recovering from a surgery that was from the previous year that was done needlessly ( long story) & she currently is pressing a suit against the Dr.

I really just want to get beyond all this once & for all...  I'm thankful Dr R is taking me into his care & fixing me as much as possible.

Hugs,
Mickey

I hope you feel better soon.  It is possible that you may be coming down with something again- it can trigger dumping from time to time.  Just a thought.

Also, have you tried ginger tea?  Or mint tea?  If you're able to and havent, they can help a lot with nausea of this type.

Best wishes that you feel much better soon!

Best,

Lisa C
