16 Months out and weigh loss has stopped
I need help. If there is anyone out there who is about the same length of time post op as I am I would love to chat. I am desparately trying to lose the last forty pounds to reach my goal. I have already lost 240 lbs. and I can't quit now. My diet has changed little in several months and I have recently instituted walking at least 2 miles every morning. The scale won't budge!!
Any suggestions?
Donna
I am having the same problem at 10 months out. 240 lbs is amazing and after that much weigh loss in such a short time..you body needs time to adjust I would think. The walking exercise is good..that is what I did. I was told to change my exercise routine and after much agonizing I joined a gym. I never thought I would enjoy it this much. My stamina has increased so much!! Good luck to you...

Hey Donna,
I'm not anywhere near that length of time out....but, I do attend a support group in Hamden and they gave us a handout on how to kick-start your weight loss.
I don't have it with me today, but I'd be glad to fax you a copy on Monday if you are interested?
Let me know!
Take care,
Kelly
P.S......Wow....240lbs off is TERRIFIC!
Keep on walking!

Kelly
I received your fax. Thank you so much. I started really trying hard to limit carbs today and so far so good. If you look at the foods, it is really taking me back to immediately after surgery when I not only concentrated on mostly protein but loss a tremendous amount of weight quickly. Hopefully, this will jump start things for me so I can continue in the downward direction. Thanks again. I will keep you posted.
