Health Net Ins. ALERT

If you are a CT state employee and have been denied coverage recently you may want to contact them again. I opened up a can of worms this week. In Dec. I had coverage and then my doctor called last week and were told I didn't have coverage. To make a long story short after about 20 phone calls including one to the state Benefits Board, my surgery was approved today. I believe that many state employee's policies were incorrect in the computer system and they are getting it straightened out now. I urge anyone who may be eligible but were told they weren't to call Health Net or have your surgeons office call for you. Diana

Hi, Diana! Good for you for fighting back! Will you be going to any more support group meetings before your surgery? I won't be at the 4/25 or 5/2 meetings since they're only for pre-ops, but I'll be at the 5/9 meeting. Maybe I'll meet you then. Debby

Hey Debby, I'm not sure which one I'm going to yet. I think I will go to one more though. I'll probably decide the night before. I'm not on this everyday so I'm answering a little late so I don't know if you will get this. Between working and dealing with two teenagers my time is pretty much used up. If I go to the 5/9 group I'll look for you. Diana
