Question on Protein Drinks
Hi Everyone,
I came across a protein drink that has 42 grams of protein in it. The label shows 2 grams of sugar for the package however shows Sucralose in the ingredients...no sugar in the ingredients.
Will this cause "dumping sydrome"?? I REALLY liked this brand of shake it was Cappacciono, Chocolate Mint, and Vanilla. I'm trying the Pina Colada one tomorrow.
I'd hate to go out & buy packets of this if it will hurt me...does anyone have suggestions..or experience with grams of sugar in protein mixes?
My count down to the 26th is beginning! I can't wait to start my new life!
Thanks bunches everyone,
Mickey

The best tasting protein drink that I have found is Myoplex--they even have two low carb versions that are absolutely the best.
Hi Mickey,
Its important to remember everyone is different. In the beginning 2 gms of sugar would be enough to make me dump to the point I thought I was going to die. In fact, until I was 6 monts out I could not tolerate ANY sugar, including natural sugars found in fruit!!
But some people never dump. You'll never know until you try. And what is ok Tuesday might make you sick Thursday, or vice versa.
I now get sick on many sugar substitutes. Malitol? You know, the stuff that produces "anal leakage' in WOW Potato chips? Well, lets just say I need to avoid it like the plague.
Good luck to you!

Stick to the two low carb versions---plenty of choice in flavors----be careful of the caffein content of the capuccino and the cafe carmel--caffein can be an appetite stimulent...the low carb provides plenty of protein and minimal carbs---I never had any problem with dumping due to the carb content
