i would like do know...

if anyone is or has done their surgery either lapband or bypass with dr.valin in st rapheals. and if so how are you feeling after your surgery or when is your surgery set for.. thanks

Hi... I had my surgery done by Dr. Valin 11/16/2001. I love Dr. Valin. He saved my life...I was dying from my obesity...even though I was a "lightweight"...my co-morbidities were going to send me to an early grave. I lost 125 lbs. I went from a size 22/24 to a size 3/4 I am healthier and happier now then I was in my teens. I work out at a gym now. I work out 3-4 days a week. Some weeks I even go 7 days. I just finished the last round of my plastics and I'm very very happy with my new body/life. My self esteem is through the roof and I am thrilled with my results. Dr. Valin and his staff have been with me every step of the way. I couldn't be happier with them. They are awesome. Good luck in your journey and best wishes to you. Dr. Valin is my hero. He also saved my life. I to was dying from my co morbidities. I was a lightweight as well, but had had a heart attack at 35 as well as Diabetes, and Gerd. The heart disease I will have for life but the other two have been non existence. I am a big fan of Dr. Valin and would pick him all over again. I had my RNY done lap in May of 2004. Maggie

I have not gone for my surgery yet, but I have been to many Drs with all of my appointments for my surgery and every Dr I have seen has told me the same thing, Dr Valin is the best in CT and they would ALL recommend him for these types of surgeries. Can't make me feel much better than to have all these Drs in different cities who know how great his reputation is! Good luck, ~Krista

I had my surgery with Dr Valin on Jan. 4 2005 at St. Rapheals. He treated me with respect and dignity (something that I haven't gotten from other doctors). He explained everything to me to my satisfaction and his staff are just as wonderful. I have lost 58 lbs. so far and I am feeling great. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I had my gall bladder taken out at the same time as my full gatric bypass under Dr Valin's advice and that was a wise decision. I would highly recomend Dr Valin and his entire staff!
