Come Support Robin
Hi, All!
In case this message looks familiar, I posted it earlier this week, but it got pulled, so here's another attempt without what I was told was improper content. Those of you who attend the Middlesex support group meetings may remember Robin. She was also at the Spring Fling, sitting with Peter and Joanne Ligas, and spent much of her time on the dance floor, exhibiting tremendous energy (something to look forward to...she's 21 mos. out from WLS). At the Spring Fling, she met some of the people from this board and we encouraged her to join us. She hasn't yet figured out how to do it, so I told her that I'd post this message. Robin has a part in the upcoming Repertory Theater of New Britain production of "Guys and Dolls". This is something she tried multiple times to do pre-WLS, but never got beyond the audition stage. She had just found out before the Spring Fling that she won the part and was so excited that night! She'd love to have us support her by attending a performance. As I suspected, we can't all agree on a single date that works for most of us, but we're working on possibly having 2 groups going, each to a different performance. Although it would be nice to all be together on the same evening, this way Robin will have support on 2 nights. The performances are on the following dates:
Fri., 5/6
Sat., 5/7
Fri., 5/13
Sat., 5/14
Sun., 5/15
Fri., 5/20
Sat., 5/21
The Fri. and Sat. performances are at 8:15 p.m. and the Sun. performance is at 5:15 p.m. So far, Joanie M., Phyllis R. and I are planning to go on Sat., 5/21, but that evening doesn't work for the Ligas', so Peter and Joanne will be going on either Fri. or Sat. of one of the 2 earlier weeks. The tickets are already on sale, so we should try to get this organized in the next few days while good seats are still available.
