Hey CT WLS Family: I am so excited, I have lost 64.5 pounds so far and I am post op 3 months and 1 week. I am 259.5lbs now, it feels great. I can't believe how well I am doing. I am doing better with my eating, still getting sick once in awhile. It really depends on what I am trying at the time. I am trying to eat more protein, but sometimes I can't keep it down. I can't eat too much cheese, I get a tummy ache. My clothes are getting so big now, I want to get some new outfits, but I am afraid if I start buying I will lose more and have to get more. I probably will just get one or two for now. I have reached some of my wishes: I can fit in a booth now, My stomach does not touch the car steering wheel, I can cross my legs the first time in 25 years, I can get up from the floor all by myself, I don't get out of breath and heated up when I am doing things, I am more active now too. The only thing I don't like is I am having alot of problems with my periods every month. They are so heavy and the cramps are real bad. My doctor said she wants to get an ultrasound and biopsy done. Oh boy, do I hate that word biopsy. I hope it doesn't mean anything serious, I am really scared. Well if anyone has any ideas for meals or some advice on my periods please let me know. Have a great weekend everyone. Thank you all for your kindness. Hugs KimC

Congratulations on your success Kim. The doctor probably wants to do an endometrial biopsy..done in the office usually and not a big deal. They just take a "brush-like" instrument and got up and take some cells. It usually only lasts a few minutes...and you may experience minor menestral cramps while the exam is being done. The u/s is a piece of cake... You really should find out the cause for your bleeding..make sure there is nothing serious. As for food...I am the wrong person to as****ep eating the same things over and over...I am sure others have suggestions. Take care.. Joanie

Hi Kim, Congrats on the weight loss, you are doing well. As for protein, I would try some protein drinks and/or supplements. Cheese is okay, but fatty, you should limit that. Lean meats are good too. But try some protein drinks, they will help. Even one a day will give you almost half of what you need a day. Pam
