I am not sure whether to laugh or cry.....

I just got a phone call from my surgeons office postponing my surgery for tomorrow. HE IS SICK. A stomach bug. I can appreicate that he doesn't want to operate in that condition, but I can't even believe it. The nurse couldn't even give me any info except to call the office in the morning to reschedule because his secretary wasn't there. I think I am in shock. I can't even believe that this is happening. I had a rough weekend mentally preparing myself, I can't imagine having to wait another week or weeks (he only operates on Tuesdays) to have it done. I don't think my head or heart can take it. I feel bad for Evelyn as well, who was going in after me. I'm sorry Ev. The only thing we can hope for is that maybe he will make exceptions for us (since it is his fault that it was cancelled) to perform them at the end of the week. Keep your fingers crossed. Phyllis

Hey Phyllis, Don't worry it will get better. I can't believe they could not at least tell you anything on the phone. Doesn't your doctor have other associates that cover for him? Phyllis, I am so sorry to hear about your postponing but look at it this way, at least it was not canceled. Your surgeron only does it on Tuesday but hopefully he will make an exception because it was kinda his fault. He has to fit you and Evelyn inm he just has to. I will be praying for you. Toya

HELLO PHYLLIS I FEEL BAD FOR YOU AS WELL. WE BOTH WENT THROUGH ALOT OF PREPARATION ALL WEEKEND LOG. I NEED TO GIVE AND ANSWER TO MY HUMAN RESOUCRE DEPT. FAST BECAUSE I HAD REQUESTED THE TIME OF AND NOW I'M NOT TAKING IT. SO THE WANT SOMETHING IN WRITTING FOR MY DR. GILES. I FEEL LIKE IN A WAY I UNDERSTAND THAT HE GOT SICK. IT'S SOMETHING WE CAN HELP, BUT ON THE OTHER HAND I FEEL THAT SOMEONE COULD'VE TOLD US EARLIER AND NOT WAIT TO WE STARTED DO OUR BOWEL PREPARATIONS. MY STOMACH IS STILL SICK FROM THAT STUFF. Hi, Phyllis! Well, I suppose it could have been worse. You could have shown up at the hospital today and found out then that your surgeon is sick and just went home. Hopefully there'll be an operating room available in case he decides to operate on an extra day other than Tues. I hope you don't have long to wait until your new day. Hugs, Debby
