Hi gang Kathy is on her way to San Juan for her cruise. She emailed me yesterday and told me that she found out one of the interpreters was a personal trainer and will work with her on the boat--for free! She has been such an inspiration to us all... Her sucess has been amazing and she so deserves this trip! She has been bummed about the fact that not many repond to her execise log..so lets make sure we start posting... You can post with your food log...until she gets back. I had a great day yesterday. I am trying to stay off that scale! I did 45 min of cardio..before I met some friends for dinner. I was surprisingly full very easily..that hasn't happened in a long time! B-poached egg 1/2 slice of toast S-protein drink 20g L-3oz of chicken...salad 18g S-sf jello D-veggie burger--no bun..broccoli Joanie

Hi Joanie, I just know Kathy will have a great time, she has worked so hard. So here goes: 1/2 hour at the gym doing circuit. B - drinking a protein drink right now (I dont' think there is milk on that list for breaking the plateau, I may try it with water, but I may not like it, it's only a 1/2 cup) L - either and egg or 3 oz. chix breast D - we plan on steak (I'll find a nice lean one today) S - either low fat cheese or sf popsicle or both Pam

I am on my 2nd full day of soft food. It has only been two weeks since surgery but I would like to join the posting if that is okay. Remember I am only working on getting in 6oz of soft food/day, not yet working on the protein build up. b 2 oz. yogurt s l 1 oz egg salad 7g s 1 oz applesauce d 2 oz cottage cheese 7g s sf popsicle I think next time I have yogurt, I'll try more of half a cup so I can get the full 6 g of protein in.
