Middlesex Support Group Monday 3/28/05

Hi, Does anybody know if tonights support group is open to both pre and post ops? DH should be home from work early enough today for me to go, but if pre ops are not included,there is no sense in driving 40 minutes each way for nothing.Thanks alot. Marcia P.S. Hi Marcia: I believe the meeting tonight is for both pre-op and post-op. I will be attending with a friend who is pre-op. Introduce yourself if you see me there. Carolyn

Hi, Carolyn! As of the beginning of this year, the schedule for support group meetings at Middlesex Hospital changed a little. Pre-ops are welcome at all meetings except for the post-op support group, which meets on the 1st Tues. evening of each month. The Mon. night meetings are as follows: 1st Mon. of the mo. - for pre-ops only - nutritional and psych. info. with Elina and Kim Daniels 2nd and 3rd Mondays - for both pre- and post-ops - general discussion 4th Mon. - for pre-ops only - panel of post-ops giving presentation and answering questions 5th Mon. (happens only 3 or 4 times a yr.) - for both pre- and post-ops - discussion of nutritional issues with Elina Tonight being the 4th Mon. of the mo., you, as a post-op, aren't really invited, but, especially since you're accompanying a pre-op, I'm sure you won't be thrown out. It was nice seeing you there a couple of weeks ago. The next meeting I'll be going to at Middlesex is in 2 wks., April 11th. Maybe I'll see you then. Debby

Hi, again, Carolyn! After I posted my previous reply, I remembered that 4/11 is after the 1st Tues. of April. So the next Middlesex meeting I'll be attending is on 4/5, the post-op support group, a week from tomorrow. I was sick and didn't attend the last one, but I found the one I attended in Feb. to be very helpful. Maybe I'll see you next week. Debby
