Hi All! I've been MIA for a while (I've been trying to read posts to stay in the loop but it's been hard to write). Full time job, 3 kids, and I just got over the worst bacterial infection I've ever had. It literally had me out for the count for 3 weeks. Once I got the right medicine for it, it knocked it right out of me, but it took so long, I thought I was going to be sick forever! Anyways, this is my question. After much trial and error, I've discovered that simple tuna (with a tiny bit of mayo and balsamic vin. dressing) over greens and veggies goes down great, and leaves me with lots of energy if I eat it for lunch and a snack, or breakfast and lunch. My question is I've been reading conflicting information about the mercury content in tuna. I read an article that said you should only eat tuna once a week. Has anyone heard about this? And if so, can you share with me what you have heard? I don't want to convince myself I'm eating healthy, when I'm ingesting too much tuna. Thanks!! Tammy

Hello Tammy, I have asked my nutritionist the same question because I love tuna. She said that the only people that have to limit then tuna intake is pregnant women and children. She said healthy adults can eat tuna every day. with no problems. I eat it almost every night for dinner because I am on the "baby food" stage. If possible you should call your doctor's office or nutritionist and ask. No question is a stupid question if you don't know the answer. Good luck but I think you have nothing to worry about. I have also found the the "just to good" mayo from Hellmann's which is low fat is just as tasty in tuna as regular mayo. Hope this helps a little you're doing great. Patty
