Tanning

Good Snowy Morning.... isnt it pretty out (I know we are all sick of snow but it is pretty to look at!) I have a question... I would like to go tanning for 2-3 visits... before Jessica's wedding on 4/9. Everything should be ok with my scar if I cover it, right? I have never tried to use the spray tan that they have now.... Hi, I have been tanning for about a month now, and it seems okay. I have not covered my scars. My friend tried the spray and she like it now she does the regular tanning.

Does your scar get darker though?

That is what I am afraid of and that Dr. A said not to let the sun hit it for a while. I will just cover it or go for the spray tan... I cant be ghostly pale when I go to this wedding!!!! Beckie

Hi Beckie, I have been tanning for a couple weeks now and have gone 6 times. I don't think 2 or 3 visits will do much. It looks like you have light skin like me and you really need to start off slow. If your going to go the tanning route start asap and go for 4-6 mins like 3 times the 1st week then the 2nd week increase it to 7-8 mins. I wish you the best of luck. By the way, love your pics. HI Although a good tan can hide a multitude of sins, it does break down the elastin in the skin. I think that if your having a time with loose skin anyway, your best bet would be to do the spray tan. I looks pretty natural and doesnt do the damage the UV rays do. Have fun at that wedding!

Hi, I tan 2 times a week and have been doing so since last summer. I found a sunblock for lips at the Wal-Mart store that I apply to my scar. It is the same size as a chapstick so it works perfectly for me. I have tried several brands of tanning creams and the spray on tan, and for myself, have never had much luck. I tan because my job requires that I wear shorts all year long. Have fun at the wedding Kristi
