Hello Everyone! It is officially two weeks since I had my surgery at St. Francis. I had a follow up with Dr. Barba on Friday and my staples were removed. 17 pounds down, but I am not so concerned about that as I am about not feeling so doggone exhausted. Am waiting for the B12 injections to be scripted and am taking a Disney vitamin recommended by the surgeon's office and 1500 mg of Calcium Citrate. phew, it is alot!!! Hopefully things will settle down and I can regain some energy SOON!!! Thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts, know that you are all in my thoughts as well. NA

Hi NA, I felt exhausted too for about 4 - 5 weeks after surgery. You'll start getting more energy soon. Just take it easy, there is alot of healing going on inside of you. Your body is telling you to rest! Anne

At two weeks I was also exhausted. It took many more weeks for me to gain my strength back. Have patience, it will come back to you, but it is a slow process. Don't expect to wake up one day soon and feel normal. You will likely have some good days and some bad ones. The good news is that the number of bad days gradually decreases. --Steve

Hi there!!!! So glad to hear you are doing well! It does take a while to get your energy back. I remember walking for 5-8 minutes at a time after the surgery thinking I'd never get my energy back! But you do, I promise!! Keep us posted with your progress, I love to hear it! Love, Tammy 272/202
