I'm home. .. and sore... :)
Hi everyone!
Just wanted to let everyone know that I made it through to the loser's side. My goodness was it tough to get here, but I'm glad I'm home and out of the hospital? Anybody have any ideas on where to sleep? I'm having a hard time with my bed and the recliner. .. I think I'm going to have to sleep sitting straight up in a dining room chair, cause I don't think I can do the floor.
I slept in a recliner for two weeks or more. Amdominal surgery is quite painful. It does help though to not get too comfortable with the Vicodin or other painkillers, as they cause shakes and other problems. Adult liquid Tylenol was all I used. It was still painful getting up from a sitting position for several weeks, but gradually went away. Walking helped a great deal.
I'm glad everything went OK for you, I hope your recovery goes well.

Welcome to the loser's side. As others have said, it does get better every day and a little bit easier to move around. I could only sleep comfortably in the recliner for the first two weeks. Sometimes it felt good to lay on my side like Joanie said.
Hope you feel better soon and congratulations,
Maggie

Delicia,
Welcome home and congratulations on your journey to the losing side. I am only one week ahead of you and can tell you that it does get better, even though hearing that didn't help me in the beginning, lol.
Hang in there and be sure to move around. Everyone is different. Just do what works for you. I was in my own bed propped on pillows 1 week after surgery (it was a necessity as my parents were in town to help me out
.
Congratulations yet again and may you have as smooth sailing as possible.
Smooches,
NA
